Mens Intersectionals 2024

Congratulations to the Rideau Lakes Seniors Men’s League for winning 1st Place in their very first time competing in the Quinte-Kingston Intersectional Matches (QKIM)

This competition is a friendly inter-club match play competition between teams from regional golf clubs. It takes place every summer in August and September. Approximately 20 clubs with 85 teams compete across six Divisions: Men’s A, Men’s B, Senior Men, Super Senior Men, Women, and Senior Women

Not only did they win in their first time out, but they also hosted the event on our beautiful course. The team consisted of 10 players, of which 2 were alternates. Team members included Marc Tupper (Captain), Paul Sawrey, Steve Robbins, Serge Stewart, Tim Ridsdale, Greg McCarthy, George Dunfield, Ron Freeman, Michael McKean, and Jim Kenny. Two of the members, Marc Tupper and Steve Robbins, won all 3 of their matches. Well done to them and the entire team

Ladies Intersectionals 2024

Congratulations to the Rideau Lakes Ladies Intersectional team for winning 2nd place

The Ladies’ team, having won their competitions for the last two years, moved up two tiers, and this year they travelled to Picton to compete. Although first place slipped through their fingers by a mere 2 points, they represented Rideau Lakes proudly

The Ladies’ team consisted of 8 players which included Diane Murray (Captain), Sue Brown, Tammy Carruthers, Lyne Lwow, Sue Jackson, Janine Tupper, Lyn Kearns and Jo- Anne Jobin. The two stars of the Ladies were Lyne Lwow, winning all of her 3 matches, and Sue Jackson winning 2 matches and tying the 3rd. Honourable mention must also go to Sue Brown who played in the top position against the strongest members of each team, winning one match and tying two. Well done to all

A special thanks to Mary Joan St. James who was our roving on-course ambassador providing nourishment and encouragement throughout the day
